In November 2025, Kate partnered with the Arts Council of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County to form a monthly comedy variety show called Tonight’s Special Comedy Special. Each month, improvisers, sketch comedians, stand-ups, and other comedic folks share the stage in a wild and hilarious adventure that changes every single show.

Kate partnered with the incredible Trevor Gabriel of AIM Enrichment to create music improv workshops and classes that enable participants to gain confidence in their singing, rapping (yes, rapping!) and musical improv skills. Thes fun workshops can be adapted to all levels and ages.

In 2025, Trevor and I, along with a group of talented improviser/actor/musicians, formed a group called Instant Musical Improv, and debuted performances in the spring. Now Instant Musical regularly anchors the Tonight’s Special Comedy Special shows, performing short form musical games and a long form improvised musical.
